What's your super power?

I read this somewhere..."I make milk!! What's your super power?" Had to share this...love it! :)

My son is almost 7 months old and he's still on the boob. It was so easy for me to breastfeed him. I have heard horror stories about breast feeding and to be honest, I was terrified to try it. But, we have the hang of it and I hope to continue until at least his first birthday. We went through a biting spell after Bennett got his two bottom teeth, but he has learned that the feeding session stops momentarily when he clamps down! YIKES! We have saved so much money not having to buy formula and I have lost all my baby weight and then some!

Down side of breast feeding...tons of people are not supportive. They think it's weird or perverted. (Yes, someone told me it's perverted!!!) My sister in law keeps asking me when I'm going to stop. People look at me funny when I feed him in public and I'm usually covered somewhat. I feel like such a weirdo for feeding my child and that isn't fair! (Sorry...I need to vent!)

My mother breast feed me for almost 13 months. I decided to stop on my own and my mom said she was heartbroken! I hope that Bennett keeps it up for the whole first year. My original goal was to do it for 9 months and if he stops before them, we can use formula. I'm thankful that God made someone smart enough to make formula!

Oh...and I have baby fever. Not too sure where that came from. I have a few friends that are starting to try for a baby or are thinking about trying for a baby. I loved being pregnant (minus all the false labor pains, sudden drops in blood sugar levels, and need to pee all the time). I know that deep down I need to wait at least until Bennett is a year or two old, but I wanna be pregnant with all my friends! HAHA!!!

Week Recap!

It's super hard for me to blog daily. I wish I could. I only have time to really sit and think about blogging when Bennett is taking a nap. And usually at those quiet moments, I am cleaning up, or doing laundry, making sure my house is in order, or just having a moment to myself! So, here's a short summary of the past week!

Friday the 24th-Momma got in around 7 and couldn't keep her hands off of my Bennett. She insisted on holding him instead of eating supper with us and helped give him a bath! She almost cried when she got here...she hasn't seen him in about a month and a half.

Saturday-We (Stanley, Momma, Bennett and I) all loaded up in the Jeep and made a trip to Cullowhee for the Alumni Game. It was pretty hot, but we all managed to get through it. Bennett had his do rag on to keep cool.

The old boys won! Woo Hoo! Stanley was winded for the last 10 minutes of the 80 minute game. He had a few good runs and I must admit, we were all proud! Go Daddy GO!
Sunday-Momma left before church. I was almost late to church because I cried on the way there. Since I was almost late, I didn't take Bennett to the nursery...therefore my child was blowing raspberries during the service! A few kids in the back started laughing and told me after church, "I heard him making farting noises!" How funny! Maybe next week we will make it in time to go to the nursery so we won't be a distraction! :)

Monday-The usual work day...I discharged a kid. That is always tough. I really enjoyed this family and the kiddo. He is just a fun one to work with. I pray that the family will continue to receive services and make progress!

*Have to share this picture! I was giving Bennett his bath and all of a sudden a toy creeped up and got him! I did not place it there, it just floated up and well, got stuck! I thought I would have died! Stanley said, "Our boy doesn't have crabs, he has LOBSTERS!!!" HaHaHa!

Tuesday-Laundry and grocery shopping. Went to bible study and Stanley was really excited about spending some quality time with Bennett. He told me before I left..."The boys are going to have some man time!" I think he misses spending time with him. He is just always so busy. Leaves the house at 6:30 and doesn't usually get home until 5ish. And by that time, Bennett is clingy and wants to eat and a little fussy. On the weekends, he is always off doing something. It was good for them to "hang" together!

Wednesday-The usual work day! I had two cancellations so I went and got a pedicure! Shh...don't tell! :) When Stanley got home, we decided to go out to eat and I decided I wanted Mexican! While I was pregnant, I hated it! Didn't want any mexican food! Before I was pregnant, we would eat it at least twice a month! When I suggested mexican food, Stanley said, "It's about time you want that again!!" When then went to Wal-mart and Stanley bought a new Play Station game. We later found out that it was the wrong game! There went $40 down the drain!

Thursday-Cleaned the house and played with Bennett all day. Nothing too exciting!

Today-Played with my babe all day and waiting for my hubby to get home. We are meeting up at a friends house tonight to hang out! Looking forward to all three of our boys playing together!

I live such a boring life!!! Here's to a good weekend!

Amy-I promise as soon as I figure out how to upload videos to my computer with my new camera, I will post my blog! Thanks again for the challenge!
